Our Habitat for Humanity Home is officially underway!
Our Habitat Home is in full swing in the Leduc community of Woodbend. This refreshing new neighborhood is right in the middle of nature…with ponds, a creek, reserve park space, and ample walking trails surrounding it. A school site is also planned for nearby for growing families. What a wonderful place to settle down.
Driving by, you can identify Woodbend by the inquisitive owl perched on the branch of the sign welcoming you to the community. At our most recent visit, crews were busy paving walking paths leading through the area. Sidewalks were also going in at our duplex. It’s starting to look like a neighborhood, with already a dozen homes popping up!
The 1382 sq.ft. Habitat Home is at the Framing stage. At this stage the exterior walls, interior partitions, and roof are assembled. Right now, our framing team is currently working on the main floor, with the exterior walls already constructed. Next comes the second floor!
Check back soon for another update on our Habitat Home.

Halloween decorating is one of the highlights of fall. It’s your chance to turn your home into something spooky, fun, or downright magical! But while fake cobwebs and skeletons look great on display, they can sometimes leave behind tape marks, scratches, or nail holes that last long after October 31.
Earlier in September, the Bank of Canada trimmed its policy (overnight) rate by 25 basis points, bringing it to 2.50%. This move is one of several in a recent easing cycle intended to support the economy amid global headwinds.
In recent years, Canadians have been shifting their priorities when it comes to housing—and sustainability is at the forefront.
Curious about pricing, one of our communities, or how to take the next step? We're here to help.
